In this course, attendees will learn the importance of the user experience when shopping online, as well as some helpful “do’s and don’ts” of building out a solid online store. Attendees will leave with the understanding of the difference between various eCommerce platforms, how to consider the user experience, and helpful tips & tricks for building and operating a successful online store.

About the Presenter: Natalie Kenny Marquez is the owner of Grow Marketing + Communications, LLC, a marketing firm that provides business development, marketing, branding, public relations, and communication support. Natalie has served a wide variety of startups and small businesses, including in the healthcare and agriculture sectors. This includes work with small farms and farm businesses to large-scale grant projects through the Illinois Department of Agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture. Prior to founding Grow Marketing + Communication, Natalie worked for over a decade in municipal government supporting communication and event planning efforts in both central Illinois and suburban Chicago. Natalie has a double major in Journalism/Advertising and Political Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Outside of work, Natalie is a competitive swimmer through U.S. Masters Swimming, enjoys shopping at farmers markets, spending time with her husband and their two children, and wrangling the family puppy, Taco.
